Melbourne and surrounding towns have been swamped with a flesh eating ulcer bacteria and experts believe mosquitoes are the key. The Buruli Ulcer has reached record levels in Victoria with 45 cases reported this year alone. The number of cases has spiked from 32 cases in 2010 to 106 in 2015.
